Opportunity:

RN - Neuro Tele

Job Details:

* Work on a neurology unit caring for neurology, neurosurgical, and telemetry patients
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Patient ratio of 1:5
* 48-hour shifts approved
* Float between units to meet unit needs
* Must have at least 6 months of neuro experience
* At least 1 year of overall nursing experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes, craniotomy care, CVA management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, neuro stepdown, pre/post neurosurgery care, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, spinal cord injury care, telemetry, and traumatic brain injury care
* Must be proficient with the NIH stroke scale
* Unit is a designated stroke unit with Thrombectomy Capable JCAHO designation
* Unit holds a Spine Center of Excellence JCAHO designation and is a NAEC Level 3 Epilepsy Center
* Scrub color: any color for RN
* No parking fee
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center, also designated as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, with 629 total staffed beds. It operates as a teaching hospital and houses a specialized neuroscience unit with 48 beds and a daily census of 64, offering comprehensive care including neurology, neurosurgery, and telemetry services. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and provides interpretation services as part of its interdisciplinary support.
