Job Details:

* Minimum of 3 years of Sterile Processing experience required
* Minimum of 1 year of Sterile Processing Microsystem (SPM) experience required as a hard stop
* Travel experience required; seasoned travelers only who can function independently with minimal training
* No on-call required
* No block schedules required
* No floating between units
* Occasional weekend shifts required
* 40-hour orientation
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
* Scrub color: Any color; surgical services/SPT scrubs provided
* Charting system: Epic experience required
* Required certifications: CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA, or HSPA or CBSPD
* Required equipment experience: Surgery equipment, robotics, SPD sterilization equipment, SPD decontamination equipment, and SPD instrument tracking (SPM)
* Required skills include: Acute Hospital OR, aseptic technique, automated endoscope reprocessors (AER), biological indicators, bronchoscopes, cardiac, chemical agents for decontamination, chemical indicators, cleaning equipment, colonoscopes, cystoscopes, high-level disinfection (HLD), laparoscopic procedures, loaner trays, manual cleaning, organizing trays, ortho/total joints, placing instruments on trays, proper labeling, robotics, scope/probe reprocessing, sets/trays assembly, steam sterilization testing/monitoring, sterilization wrapping procedures, Steris and Sterrad testing/monitoring, ultrasonic cleaner, use of washers/sterilizers, and various scope types including EGD, ERCP, EBUS, EUS, enteroscopes, flex sigmoidoscopes, and uteroscopes
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* 2 references required, covering 1 year within the last 3 years, to be submitted during the compliance process and prior to start

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level III Trauma Center equipped to handle a wide range of medical needs. The facility utilizes Epic as its primary charting system and provides a well-supported environment for sterile processing professionals. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and requires experienced sterile processing travelers who can integrate quickly and work independently.
