Opportunity:

Med/Surg RN

Job Details:

* 4x12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (3x12 schedule may be considered)
* Patient ratios of 1:6 to 1:7
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs or between like units and sister facilities
* Guaranteed hours: facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
* 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
* Travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
* South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be active and in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
* Telemetry experience preferred, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
* Must complete all assigned modules prior to start date
* Attendance at staff meetings is required
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Charting system: Epic
* No parking cost
* Patients served include adults and geriatric populations
* Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, CVA, sepsis, pneumonia, dysrhythmia, diabetes, post-surgical care, wound care, and renal failure
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, radiology, and social services
* Block scheduling may be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed
* Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

Facility:

This short-term acute care hospital operates with 97 staffed beds and 41 Med/Surg beds, maintaining a daily census of approximately 36 patients. The facility supports a comprehensive interdisciplinary care model that includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, radiology, phlebotomy, and social services. The unit is equipped with Epic charting and provides a structured, team-oriented environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care across a wide range of medical and surgical diagnoses.
