Job Details:

* 4x10 hour shifts, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, hours may vary based on unit needs
* No night, floating, or on-call shifts
* Every other weekend required
* 6 weekend shifts per contract
* Patient ratio of 10-12 patients during the day, up to 14 on weekends
* 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Required certifications: ONS Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Certification, BLS
* Epic EMR experience required; Beacon experience preferred
* Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, blood products, IV hydration, electrolyte replacement, iron infusions, and supportive oncology care
* Manage central line care including PICC lines and implanted ports, including accessing and de-accessing ports and lab draws
* Perform patient education, symptom assessment, and management of infusion reactions
* Care for scheduled infusion visits, same-day add-ons, and urgent symptom management
* Collaborate with oncology providers, pharmacy, and nurse navigators
* Operate specialized equipment including Alaris IV pumps, Infusystem chemotherapy pumps, implanted ports/Port-a-Cath access devices, PICC lines, central venous catheters, chemo spill kits, PPE for hazardous drugs, and ultrasound IV
* Document in EMR, perform chemotherapy verification, and adhere to oncology safety protocols

Facility:

This facility operates an adult outpatient oncology infusion center treating patients with solid tumor cancers, hematologic malignancies, anemia, neutropenia, dehydration, treatment-related side effects, and immune-compromised conditions. The center handles up to 114 visits per day across 41 rooms and provides interdisciplinary support including interpretation services, social services, and pharmacy. The facility emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration and maintains high standards for oncology safety protocols and patient care.
