Job Details:
* Work 10.5-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Thursday
* Work every 5th weekend
* On-call required - short call (4 hours at the end of a shift) once per week
* 1-2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Use primarily Affera PFA systems and Biosense Webster RFA
* Perform scrubbing of EP studies including invasive diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures
* Perform device implants including ablations, pacemaker insertions, ICD insertions, laser lead extractions, and Watchman devices
* Conduct hemodynamic monitoring and maintain sterile field as room circulator
* Perform EKG lead placement and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
* Operate required special equipment including intracardiac electrogram recording and pacing systems, therapeutic ablation systems, electrosurgical units, emergency equipment (TPMs, AEDs), and GE CardioLab
* Treat patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Chart using Excellian/Epic system; Epic charting experience preferred
* Scrubs provided by unit
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT R, CCI RCES, CCI RCIS, Fluoro Permit, CET
* Must have strong communication skills and a solid understanding of cardiac anatomy and normal conduction system
* May float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby to meet facility needs

This short-term acute care facility is a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level III Trauma designation. The facility operates 672 staffed beds and maintains a 4-room electrophysiology unit with a daily census of 20 patients. The organization is committed to high-quality patient care and supports a multidisciplinary approach to complex cardiac procedures including ablations, device implants, and advanced interventional electrophysiology.
