Opportunity:

Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit RN

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Schedule is 3x12 or 4x12 nights with weekdays and some weekends required
* Block scheduling considered for weekend blocks only (Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday)
* Typical patient ratio of 1:4 with flex to 1:5 in emergencies
* Holiday RTO requests limited to no more than 2 of the 4 major holidays
* 13-week contract with possibility of extension
* Minimum 1.5 to 2+ years of experience required; 1 year of Medical/Telemetry experience and 2 years of Stepdown experience preferred
* Must be able to read telemetry strips
* Required certifications: BCLS and ACLS through American Heart Association (AHA)
* Required skills include IV starts and telemetry monitoring
* Charting system: Cerner experience required
* Scrubs not provided; must wear burgundy and/or white
* WV or Compact nursing license required; pending license accepted for submission
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* Candidate must have a permanent address 100+ miles from the facility
* Patients are primarily cardiac, including cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology procedures, as well as general medical/surgical patients
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Unit capacity is 36 beds with a daily census of 34
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and more
