Opportunity:

TRAVEL - RN - Pediatric Congenital CICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekend requirement of 4 shifts per 4-week schedule
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 for critical care (estimated, never guaranteed)
* Unit consists of 10 beds partnering with the PICU, staffed with 6 RNs
* Night shift includes 1 Charge RN with RN to staff volume
* Minimum 2 years of cardiac critical care experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
* Work with Phillips monitors, Med Fusion, and Baxter pumps
* EMR system: Meditech
* Perform post-operative care including inotropic and vasopressor continuous infusions, IVF and chest tube management, and care of post-sternotomy/open chest patients
* Perform moderate sedation procedures
* Peritoneal dialysis and CRRT skills preferred
* ECMO bedside experience preferred
* Must be flexible, organized, and a strong communicator with a willingness to resource and teach

Facility:

This facility is home to a specialized Pediatric Cardiac ICU serving congenital cardiac and medical neonatal patients. The unit operates as an ECMO Center of Excellence utilizing advanced equipment including the Centrimag, Prismax, and Arctic Sun systems. The RN team averages 10 years of nursing experience and maintains high engagement and culture of safety scores. The physician team is comprised of board-certified pediatric and congenital heart intensivists committed to evidence-based practice, prevention, and quality metrics. The interdisciplinary team works collaboratively to deliver compassionate critical care to patients and their families.
