RN - Emergency Department

Job Details:

* Multiple shift times available: 6:00 AM?6:30 PM, 9:00 AM?9:30 PM, 11:00 AM?11:30 PM, 12:00 PM?12:00 AM, 3:00 PM?3:30 AM, and 6:00 PM?6:30 AM
* Every other weekend rotation required
* Holiday coverage required as needed per unit
* No on-call responsibilities
* RN patient ratio of 1:4
* Minimum 2+ years of emergency department experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
* Common patient types include general ED complaints, abdominal pain, chest pain, shortness of breath, behavioral health patients, and geriatric patients
* General ED skills required including strong soft skills: team player, organized, strong communication, and time management
* May float between Allenmore and Tacoma ED locations
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, MOAB 12 or CPI
* EMR system: EPIC
* IV Pump: Alaris
* Medication dispensing: Pyxis
* Scrub color: Any
* Free parking available

Facility:

This facility operates a 32-bed emergency department supported by a robust multidisciplinary team available around the clock. The department is staffed with PCT support, a receptionist/HUC, a charge nurse, respiratory therapy, hospitalist coverage, and ED physicians and mid-level providers, all available 24/7. The facility utilizes modern technology and equipment to ensure high-quality patient care and maintains structured orientation programs to help new staff acclimate to the unit and its workflows.
