Open Position: PT - Physical Therapist

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2969.40

Opportunity:

Outpatient PT

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
* No weekend rotation required
* No call required
* Department closes on 6 major holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
* Expected to work all other holidays as scheduled
* See an average of 8-10 patients per day
* Primarily outpatient coverage with occasional ED consults, day surgery patients, or inpatient coverage as needed
* Single patient care model with 60-minute bookings for evaluations and treatments
* Treat mostly adults and school-aged children including post-ortho, post-spinal surgery, geriatric, work injury, and neurological imbalance cases
* Skills required include manual therapy, exercise science, patient education, and education on adaptive equipment such as walkers, canes, and crutches
* Department currently staffed with 3 PTs with supervisor available on-site weekdays
* EMR system: Cerner
* Dress code: Business casual or scrubs
* Free parking available
* Minimum 1 year of outpatient PT experience required
* Maine state licensure required
* BLS certification required
* Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or above required

This outpatient physical therapy department is located within a well-established hospital setting, offering a collaborative and supportive environment for physical therapy professionals. The department provides comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation services while also offering occasional inpatient coverage opportunities located within the same building. The facility utilizes modern technology and maintains a structured orientation process to ensure contractor success.
