Job Details:

* Night shift position with option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Every other weekend (EOW) required
* Float required within scope to like units based on facility needs
* Self-scheduling
* Patient ratios of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 12-hour orientation provided
* 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
* Required certification: BLS
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Serves adult and geriatric patient populations
* Unit capacity of 30 beds with a daily census of 24
* Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tubes, colostomy/ileostomy care, CVA management, feeding tube care, heparin, high flow nasal cannula, insulin, isolation precautions/PPE, med/surg, telemetry monitoring, nasal cannula, oral suctioning, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drains, total joint replacement, use of rapid response/code teams, and wound care/wound vac
