Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Weekend coverage required
* Self-scheduling
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Float required to other units, typically Telemetry
* No on-call required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Travel experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience required and must be noted in work history
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS all must be in-hand when applying
* CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute required in-hand when applying (MAB or Online CPI Blue certification not accepted)
* California state license required in-hand when applying (EMSA not accepted)
* Two supervisor references required when applying
* No RTO within the first two weeks of assignment; maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract preferred
* Skills required include but are not limited to: arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care, BiPAP/CPAP management, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, CVA/acute stroke management, hypothermia protocol, massive transfusion protocol, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates an intensive care unit with 8 beds and a daily census of 6 patients. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, and pharmacy. The facility maintains high standards of patient care with a consistent 2:1 patient ratio across all shifts and offers a collaborative care environment for critical care nursing professionals.
