Ultrasound Technologist

Job Details:

* 8-hour night shifts from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Monday through Friday
* 40 hours per week
* No call requirement
* No floating requirement
* No weekend requirement
* Patient load of 8-12 patients per day across 6 rooms
* Perform general, OB/GYN, and vascular exams for inpatient and emergency room patients
* Occasional OR cases required
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Must have experience with Samsung RS85 ultrasound machine
* Required skills: all age groups, outpatient, inpatient, ER, neonate, NICU, portables, general, abdomen, OB/GYN, renal/pelvis, small parts, vascular (carotid and arterial including ABI and PVRs), peripheral vascular, upper/lower extremity venous, upper/lower extremity arterial, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and M-Mode
* Preferred skills: community hospital, children's hospital, PICU, PACS, biopsies, ultrasound guided biopsy/FNA, doppler studies, renal artery duplex, Siemens, EPIC, and McKesson
* Required certifications: BLS, RDMS-AB
* Preferred certifications: RDMS-OB, RVT
* Preferred charting systems: EPIC and McKesson
* Scrubs not provided; royal blue required
* Orientation: 1.5 days

This acute care hospital facility operates a dedicated ultrasound department supporting both inpatient and emergency room patients. The department handles a diverse range of imaging studies including general, OB/GYN, and vascular exams, and has recently transitioned to Samsung RS85 ultrasound equipment. The facility maintains a structured scheduling environment with consistent weekday shifts and a manageable daily patient caseload, making it an excellent environment for experienced sonographers.
