Job Details:

* Work 4x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
* Every other weekend required
* On-call required on a PRN low census basis
* Patient ratios of 1:6 standard, may flex to 1:7 in the event of an unplanned absence
* Float required within med/surg units to meet facility needs
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* 2 years of experience preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS
* Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIHSS
* Epic charting experience required
* Scrub color: Royal Blue

* Skills required: Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Insulin, Rapid Response
* Additional skills include: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tubes, colostomy/ileostomy management, CVA care, feeding tube care and management, Heparin administration, isolation precautions/PPE, management of dysrhythmias, nasal cannula, oral suctioning, PCA, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, pre/post neurosurgery, renal failure, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drains, tracheostomy care/management, total joint replacement, wound care/wound vac
* Treat adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including diabetes, renal disease, hypertension, CAD, stroke, chest pain, and altered mental status
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
* Telemedicine equipment used on unit; instruction will be provided
* All telemetry monitoring performed by monitor techs in a central location
* Block scheduling approval can be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed
* All requested time off must be included at time of submission

Facility:

This facility is a 34-bed community hospital offering comprehensive medical-surgical care to adult and geriatric patients. The unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and telemedicine technology to support patient care delivery.
