Opportunity:

Registered Nurse: CVOR

Job Details:

* Both scrub and circulate required
* Work settings include CVOR, Trauma, and Adult Open Heart Only
* Cardiovascular/Thoracic procedures include: Aortic Aneurysm repair, CABG, IABP, MAZE Procedure, Mitral valve replacement, TAVR, LVAD/RVAD, Lobe resection, Thoracotomy, and VATS
* Vascular procedures include: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Arteriovenous fistula repair, Carotid angioplasty, Carotid artery stenting, Carotid Endarterectomy, Femoral popliteal bypass graft, and TEVAR
* Ortho/Neuro procedures include: Arthroscopy, Closed/Open reduction of fractures, Laminectomy/discectomy, Ortho/Spine, Total joint replacement, ALIF, Anterior & Cervical fusions, Kyphoplasty, Lumbar fusion, and XLIF
* General Surgery procedures include: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repairs, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Thyroidectomy partial/total, and Whipple
* Robotic procedures include: Colorectal, GI, Gyn, Neuro, Ortho, Otolaryngologic, TORS, and Urologic
* Transplant procedures include: Heart, Kidney, Liver, Lung, and Organ donation
* EPIC charting experience required
* Every other weekend schedule required
* On-call requirement: approximately 1 weekend per month with 24-hour call both Saturday and Sunday
* Must float within skillset without exception; will float to Main OR if no CVOR cases during the shift
* Hospital-provided scrubs
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Clinicians must work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's) as needed
* Minimum 3 years of experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Travel experience preferred
* Active NJ or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
* Required certifications: BLS, CNOR
* At least 1 supervisory reference required at time of submission
* Locals accepted at the same rate

This facility is New Jersey's largest academic medical center and serves as a tertiary referral center for cardiovascular and transplant care. State-of-the-art cardiovascular operating rooms support open-heart, minimally invasive, and robotic procedures including CABG, valve and aortic surgery, TAVR, heart and lung transplantation, ECMO, and VAD implantation.
