Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* Day shift position working 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
* 36 or 48 hours per week available
* Medical/surgical floor experience preferred
* Epic EMR experience required
* Minimum two years of recent acute care RN experience required
* Current RN license in state of practice required
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across all age groups
* Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care responsibilities
* Obtain patient history and physical assessments according to unit-specific nursing protocols
* Identify and report abnormal diagnostic data to appropriate personnel
* Recognize and respond to signs of cardiac or respiratory distress and other emergencies
* Demonstrate knowledge and ability to effectively function in Code Blue and other emergency situations
* Accurately administer and document medications according to hospital policies and patient rights
* Support discharge planning in a timely manner and communicate with appropriate personnel
* Assist in the development and education of new staff members
* Complete all assigned quality monitors, education, training, and department-specific competencies
* Follow infection control guidelines and maintain patient, co-worker, and hospital privacy
