Acute Care Float

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Schedule covers Sunday through Saturday
* Weekend coverage required
* Float position required - must be comfortable floating between units
* Minimum 3 years of experience required
* Travel experience required - no first-time travelers accepted
* Local candidates accepted
* Patient population includes adolescents
* Epic charting system experience required and must be noted in work history
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute required in-hand when applying (MAB or Online CPI Blue certification not accepted)
* California state license required in-hand when applying (EMSA not accepted)
* Two supervisor references required when applying
* No requested time off within the first two weeks of assignment
* Required skills include: cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, central line care and management, care of ventilated patients, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, wound care and wound vac, intracranial bleeds, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, seizure disorders, heparin protocols, pacemaker management, PICC line management, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias, pre and post cardiac surgery, pre and post cardiac cath, hemodialysis management, and use of rapid response and code teams
