RN - Orthopedics

Job Details:

* Work on a 32-bed orthopedic unit (J6 Orthopedics)
* Day shift patient ratio is 5:1 (6:1 stretch) and night shift patient ratio is 6:1 (7:1 stretch)
* Every other weekend requirement
* No on-call responsibilities
* Perform typical orthopedic unit procedures including dressing changes, suture/staple removal, Foley catheter insertion, NG tube placement, and wound vac maintenance and removal
* Operate equipment including walkers, bedside commodes, bladder scanners, CPM machines, Sky lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Lift, Maxi Move, vital sign machines, hover mats, Bair Hugger, and wheelchairs
* Document using Cerner EMR system
* May float to other Med-Surg units as needed
* Dress code: RNs wear navy scrubs
* North Carolina nursing license required
* BLS certification required
* Hospital experience preferred
* Orthopedic experience preferred
* Must be a team player with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
