Opportunity:

Labor & Delivery (includes OR, antepartum, and float to postpartum)

Job Details:

* Night shift position working 7 nights a week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience required - no first-time travelers accepted
* Epic charting system experience required - hard stop
* Float to postpartum unit (PPU) required
* Care for patient age groups including neonates, adolescents, and adults
* Manage high-risk pregnancies and patients with multiple co-morbidities including cardiac disease, end-stage renal disease, and accreta
* Required skills: Circulate for C-section, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, use of external fetal monitoring, triage, scrub, phlebotomy, and Epic
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP - all must be in-hand when applying
* Two (2) supervisor references required when applying
* Valid California state license required in-hand when applying - EMSA not accepted
* No requested time off within the first two weeks of assignment
* Maximum 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract highly preferred

Facility:

This facility is a Baby Friendly Hospital offering comprehensive labor and delivery services including 8 LDR rooms, 14 inpatient/antepartum/mother-baby beds, 2 OR suites, a 2-bed recovery room, and a 5-bed OB evaluation and triage area. The unit maintains a daily census of approximately 150 patients and provides lactation support 7 days a week, golden hour practices, and accommodates patient preferences such as personal doulas. The facility serves as a regional center supporting high-risk pregnancies and complex maternal cases, with a C-section rate of 23% and a full range of perinatal services.
