Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts available with shift options including 7:00 AM?7:00 PM, 11:00 AM?11:00 PM, 3:00 PM?3:00 AM, and 7:00 PM?7:00 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* No floating requirements
* 2 years of emergency department experience required
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIHSS, and HSS Team (workplace violence training)
* Navy blue scrubs required
* Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
* 2 shifts of unit/department specific orientation provided
* Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4?5 based on acuity
* Care for all age groups with common diagnoses including chest pain, abdominal pain, cough/congestion, orthopedic injuries, ENT emergencies, behavioral health, sepsis, and stroke
* Administer common drips including antibiotics, narcotics, anti-emetics, vaccines, and emergency medications
* Utilize EPIC as the electronic medical records system
* Operate Alaris IV pumps
* Utilize TeleHealth services with a focus on purposeful rounding
* Charge nurse present on each shift
* Must pass an open book skills exam with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
* Block scheduling is not guaranteed
* Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility and may not currently be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity affiliated facility
