RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details:

* California nursing license required
* Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3
* Work on Labor & Delivery unit with 9 LDRs and 4 additional beds for triage and outpatient testing
* Day shift staffed with 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator or Charge RN, 4-5 RNs, 1 Meal Break RN, OB Tech, and Unit Assistant; night shift staffed similarly
* Utilize equipment including hospital beds, GE Novii and wired fetal monitors, and OR equipment
* EMR system: CPN/Meditech
* Must have excellent critical thinking skills
* Minimum 2 years of fetal monitoring experience required
* Must be proficient in vaginal exams and C-section circulating and post CS recovery
* Must be able to care for laboring patients including CS and vaginal delivery and recovery
* Must be able to care for high-risk antepartum patients including gestational hypertension and gestational diabetes
* Must be able to manage obstetrical emergencies including OB hemorrhage
* Must be able to provide care of the newborn within the first hour of life including breastfeeding and initial latch
* Perform labor and delivery management including vaginal exams, outpatient testing (NST, CST, BPP), OB triage, OBED, MSE, versions, cervical cerclage, and OP injections
* Scrub experience preferred
* NCC certification in IP-OB or EFM preferred
* Strong customer service skills required
* Flexible, adaptable, and positive attitude with strong team collaboration skills required
* May float to Mother Baby unit
* Dress code: Navy scrubs
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
