Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Approved 48-hour contract
* Patient ratios of 4:1, with flexibility up to 5:1 during staffing shortages
* Manage stroke patients, cardiac drips, patients on continuous BiPAP, and post-procedure patients
* Perform or assist with emergent thoracentesis and telemetry monitoring
* Operate equipment including BiPAP, restraints, Airvo, seizure precaution equipment, bedside monitoring, and telemetry
* Use Meditech EMR system
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification
* Preceptor experience and charge nurse experience preferred
* Must be a compassionate team player who communicates well with interdisciplinary team
* Must demonstrate integrity and willingness to help others

Facility:

This facility is a main hospital campus featuring a Progressive Care Unit located on the second floor. The unit consists of 25 beds and is supported by a team of 54 FTEs. Each shift is staffed with one charge RN, six staff RNs, and three Patient Care Technicians. The unit is equipped with modern technology and equipment to support the management of complex patient populations including stroke, cardiac, and post-procedure patients.
