RN - ED

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Emergency Department setting with 24 beds
* Patient ratios of 4:1 with 5:1 during surge periods
* Day shift team consists of 4 RNs, 1 charge nurse, 2 mid-shift RNs, 1 mid-shift unit clerk, and 1 EMT
* Work with GE monitors and EMR systems Meditech and CPN
* Perform procedures including port access, IV starts, venipuncture, nasal wash, point of care testing (troponin, lactic acid, urine dip), EKG, and Foley placement
* At least 1 year of current hospital ED experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, and ENPC (CPI Blue Card required; PALS accepted in lieu of ENPC)
* Preferred certifications: CEN, CPEN, and US IV competency
* Pediatric Emergency Department experience preferred for pediatric ED cases

This facility is a full-service acute care hospital featuring a well-staffed Emergency Department with experienced nursing professionals. The unit maintains a strong team structure with dedicated charge nurses, mid-shift support staff, and EMTs to ensure comprehensive patient care. The facility utilizes modern monitoring equipment and an established electronic medical records system to support clinical staff in delivering high-quality emergency care.
