Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts starting at 7:00 PM with expectation to be dressed, ready, and obtaining report at shift start
* Must complete 4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
* Holiday schedule varies and may include every other holiday based on unit coverage
* Unit averages 200-240 births per month with 9 beds plus 7 triage beds
* Staffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines with 1:2 ratio for magnesium patients
* EMR systems include Cerner, Fetal Link, and McRoberts MyChild for infant documentation
* Must be able to circulate C-sections
* Must have strong IV skills as there is no dedicated IV team
* Must be comfortable using evidence-based algorithms and will meet with the perinatal safety officer
* Must be willing to teach and educate newer nurses
* Must adhere to baby friendly and golden hour rules
* Hourly rounds, bedside report, and bedside documentation required
* May float to postpartum unit
* Call not required but opportunity is available
* 3-shift orientation provided on unit
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate EFM

This acute care facility operates a busy labor and delivery unit averaging 200-240 births per month, supported by OB and labor hospitalists in house 24/7. The unit benefits from around-the-clock respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and anesthesia services, along with a satellite Level 2 NICU physically located within the facility.
