Open Position: RN - First Assist

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $3446.40

RN - RNFA

Job Details:

* Rotating shift schedule with start times of 6:30 AM or 8:30 AM
* Four 10-hour shifts per week with no set scheduled days
* On-call requirement of one night per week and one weekend per month
* Perform professional functions of a Registered Nurse including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
* Assist under the direction of the primary operating surgeon in perioperative care of patients undergoing surgical experiences
* Must be proficient in total joint, orthopedic, gynecological, and general surgical cases
* Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care while meeting established Standards of Nursing Practice
* Must have Epic electronic health record experience
* At least 2 years of recent experience in field required
* Three years of scrub and circulate experience in an acute care facility required
* Certification of completion of an approved didactic RNFA course required
* Annual surgeon review required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, CNOR, Current Professional Liability Insurance
* PALS certification preferred
* Current RN license in state of practice required
* Professional Liability Insurance (PLI) required

This facility is a 122-bed acute care hospital that has been serving northern San Luis Obispo County since 1977. The organization provides exceptional care across a wide range of specialties including emergency medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics, digestive disorders, wound care, and various medical, surgical, and outpatient services. The perioperative services team upholds high standards of nursing practice and promotes a collaborative approach to patient care.
