Opportunity:

RN - Medical Surgical

Job Details:

* Work 12.5-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Night shift patient ratio of 1:5
* Minimum 18 months of nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
* Community hospital experience required
* LTAC experience required
* Charting experience required using Cerner
* Epic experience required and must be noted in work history
* First-time travelers welcome; locals accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI (CPI Blue Card from Crisis Prevention Institute must be in-hand when applying; MAB or online CPI Blue certification not accepted)
* California state license required and must be in-hand when applying
* Two supervisor references required when applying
* 24 orientation hours provided
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
* Skills required include but are not limited to: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management, telemetry monitoring, wound care/wound vac, tracheostomy care, BiPAP/CPAP management, IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, and use of rapid response/code teams
