Board Certified OBGYN

Job Details:

* Clinic shifts Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
* On-call coverage required while working in clinic from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
* Night call hours from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM
* Weekend call coverage from Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 8:00 AM
* Expected patient caseload of 8-10 deliveries per month and fewer than 15 patients per day in clinic
* C-section rate approximately 21% with occasional high-risk cases but mostly low-risk
* Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible with OB/GYN residency training
* Current certification or active participation in the examination process with achievement of certification within 5 years in OBGYN by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology required
* EMR system: EPIC
* Privileging criteria requires case logs reflecting at least 50 vaginal deliveries and at least 20 C-sections in the past 12 months, as well as at least 25 gynecological surgical procedures including at least 5 major abdominal cases in the past 12 months
* Must be able to perform labor and delivery procedures including low-risk pregnancy management, FHR interpretation, NST/CST/FSE, OB ultrasounds, routine and complicated deliveries, C-sections, breech and multiple births, and repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
* Must be able to perform gynecological surgical procedures including D&C, hysterectomy, uterine suspension, anterior/posterior repair, tumor resection, incontinence and infertility procedures, laparoscopic procedures, and operative/major procedures such as ectopic pregnancy management, ovary removal, and cystectomy
* Must be highly motivated with outstanding patient care qualities and willingness to grow practice
* Must be patient-focused and willing to collaborate in a team environment
* Must be able to obtain a medical license to practice in the state of New Mexico
* Must be able to supply case logs per privileging criteria requirements

This facility operates a busy obstetrics and gynecology practice with a collaborative team environment consisting of two OBGYNs, registered nurses, and medical assistants, with C-section assist support available while on call. The organization utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical records system and maintains a well-structured clinic schedule with defined call coverage protocols. The facility prioritizes outstanding patient care and fosters a team-oriented culture for its providers.
