Job Details:

* Night shift position with 12-hour shifts
* Self-scheduling available
* Minimum of 6-9 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
* Holiday requirements apply
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
* Work across multiple ICU units including MICU (12 beds), CSICU (24 beds), and NTICU (24 beds)
* Care for patients with respiratory distress, DKA, renal failure, surgical post-op cases including vascular, oncology, and flap procedures
* Manage cardiac surgical patients including TAVR and CABG cases, non-STEMI, and post-code patients
* Treat stroke, neuro, trauma, orthopedic, and medical ICU populations
* Required to titrate drips including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, metabolic, and specialized drips
* Perform 12-lead EKGs
* Read and interpret own telemetry strips using Philips monitors
* Work with respiratory therapy equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, and ventilators
* Charge nurse does not take an assignment; intensivist and hospitalist in house
* Respiratory therapy support available 24/7
* One critical care tech available per unit
* May be asked to float within Zone 3 or to PCU/Stepdown and MS-Tele units as needed
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* General critical care experience required; 1 year of trauma/surgical and neuro critical care experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
