RN - Telemetry

Job Details:

* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* 13-week assignment with client able to cancel up to 3 shifts during the contract
* Weekend availability required based on department need
* Must work at least one holiday; up to 5 days of RTO approved with 1 holiday off
* Three missed shifts may result in cancellation of assignment
* No on-call required
* May float to other ICU/Tele units as well as MS/Tele and Observation Care as needed
* Block scheduling is not available; specific schedule requests cannot be accommodated
* Primarily assigned to a Telemetry unit with the ability to float to ICU and Cath Lab
* When floated to Cath Lab, will not be assigned patients outside scope of practice as a Tele nurse
* Patients include adult and geriatric age groups
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams
* Charting system: Cerner
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; previous charge experience preferred
* Travel experience required
* ICU experience required
* Skills required include care of ventilated patients, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience
* Scrub color: No specific color required, but no camouflage or character patterns permitted
* Strict dress code enforced: no facial hair, no acrylic nails, no unnatural hair colors, all tattoos must be covered, no visible body piercings other than earrings, no facial or nose rings, and earrings may not extend beyond the earlobe or be hoop earrings
* Orientation is 36 hours; modules are completed during orientation and average 3?6 hours depending on specialty

This acute care hospital is a Magnet-designated, teaching facility and Level II Trauma Center with 412 staffed beds. The facility offers a comprehensive range of services and interdisciplinary support, maintaining high standards of patient care across multiple specialized units.
