Opportunity:

Radiology Technologist

Job Details:

* Rotating schedule working three 12-hour shifts per week
* 32 guaranteed hours per week
* Perform all radiographic examinations according to established protocols
* Assist radiologist with all fluoroscopic procedures
* Operate large C-arm and O-arm under the direction of the surgeon
* Identify each patient and review exam orders for consistency with clinical diagnosis
* Review demographic information including physician name and signature, patient name, and date
* Maintain constructive and collaborative communication with patients, families, physicians, co-workers, and other members of the healthcare team
* Maintain established department policies and procedures including confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, environmental standards, radiation protection standards, infection control standards, and universal precautions
* Maintain working knowledge of HIS and PACS computer systems to ensure quality patient documentation
* Monitor supply inventory and notify appropriate staff when stock is low, and keep exam and dressing rooms stocked and neat
* Must be HIPAA compliant
* Minimum one year of experience in radiology preferred
* Required certification: ARRT (R)
* Required certification: Basic Life Support (BLS)
* Must be competent in working with all age groups including neonatal/infant through geriatric populations
* Must have working knowledge of the English language including reading, writing, and speaking
