Job Details:

* Rotating shift schedule including days, evenings, and nights
* Call and weekend availability required
* Call shifts can occur on weekdays and/or weekends
* Weekends may include Friday, Saturday, or Sunday
* Within a 6-week period, may have up to 3 weekend call shifts
* Saturday call shifts are 24 hours (7:00 AM to 7:00 AM)
* Sunday call shifts are 16 hours (7:00 AM to 11:00 PM)
* May have increased night shifts on Friday nights
* No block scheduling
* Call response time: 30 minutes
* In-house call rooms available for use when needed
* Guaranteed 40 hours per week
* Minimum 2 years of OR experience within the last 3 years required (3 years strongly preferred)
* Minimum 1 year of Level 1 Trauma experience within the last 3 years required
* Minimum 1 year of travel experience within the last 3 years required
* Must be proficient or expert in General, Orthopedics (total joints required), Neurosurgery (cranial and spine required), Vascular, and Trauma
* Robotics experience with DaVinci required, including cardiac procedures (moving arms and draping)
* Transplant experience preferred but not required
* Previous regular employees are not eligible

This is a high-acuity surgical facility operating as a Level 1 Trauma Center, equipped to handle a wide range of complex surgical cases including general, orthopedic, neurological, vascular, trauma, robotic, and transplant procedures. The facility utilizes advanced technology including the DaVinci robotic surgical system and provides on-site call rooms to support staff during extended shifts. The organization maintains a dynamic operating room environment with a diverse and demanding surgical caseload.
