Opportunity:

MedSurg RN (Renal)

Job Details:

* Work three 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
* Patient ratio of 1:6-7 on days, nights, and weekends
* Every other weekend requirement with holiday rotation
* No on-call required
* May float to other med/surg units as needed to meet facility needs
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certification: BLS
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Charting system: Epic
* Free parking available
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Required skills include: CVA management, feeding tube care and management, isolation precautions/PPE, med/surg, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, peripheral line care/management, renal failure, starting and maintaining IVs, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more

Facility:

This medical center operates a dedicated MedSurg Renal unit with a daily census of 36 patients across 36 rooms. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretarial support. The unit is equipped with modern charting technology and focuses on delivering high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including renal conditions.
