Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekends and holidays required as needed
* No on-call responsibilities
* Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* May be required to float between Downtown and Northeast campuses based on census and staffing needs
* 2+ years of emergency room experience required
* First-time travelers accepted with 2+ years of ER experience
* South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
* Epic charting experience required
* Block schedule requests may be submitted for approval prior to assignment but are not guaranteed
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Free parking available with pass distributed at pickup
* Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Treat a variety of patient diagnoses including DKA, stroke, URI, kidney stones, and dislocations
* Perform and assist with special procedures including chest tubes, procedural sedation, intubation, and TPA/TNK
* Operate special equipment including ventilators and BiPAP machines
* Key skills include arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care, IV vasopressors, interpretation of dysrhythmias, phlebotomy, triage, and procedural sedation administration and monitoring

Facility:

This acute care hospital operates with 75 staffed beds and serves approximately 110 patients per day across a 23-room emergency department. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretarial support. The emergency department is equipped to handle a wide range of cases and maintains STEMI and stroke certification designations.
