RN - ER

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend requirement with holiday rotation alongside permanent staff
* No floating outside of the ER department
* Primary placement at St. Anne Hospital with potential float requirement throughout Region One facilities; additional $20 per hour when floated within Region I to a non-primary facility
* 32-bed ER unit with Level IV designation, functioning as a Cardiac and Stroke Center
* 2 trauma bays and 2 seclusion rooms; average 125-150 patients per day
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 depending on acuity
* Charting system: EPIC
* Must be able to read and interpret cardiac monitor strips using the central monitoring station
* Ventilator experience required
* Professional colored scrubs required
* Candidates with triage experience may be asked to complete a triage test for the triage role
* Common diagnoses include general ER patients, stroke, tPA capable cases, STEMI, and major trauma stabilization and transfer
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS

Facility:

This Level IV Emergency Room operates as a Cardiac and Stroke Center with 32 total beds, including 2 trauma bays and 2 seclusion rooms. The facility sees an average of 125-150 patients per day and is supported by 24/7 respiratory therapy, in-house pharmacy, and a dedicated team of ED techs and EMTs. The department utilizes EPIC for charting and medication dispensing, with a charge nurse present for both shifts who aims to function as a free charge when possible.
