Job Details:

* Work on a 217-bed unit located on the 1st floor
* Patient ratio of 1:75
* Day shift coverage with 3 dietitians daily; on-call Saturdays only, no Sunday coverage
* Rotating on-call Saturdays required
* Use laptop and iMobile equipment
* EMR system: Meditech Expanse
* Dress code: Navy blue scrubs or business casual attire
* Must be willing to work at other facilities in person or remotely
* Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or equivalent required
* Completion of an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program required
* Registered Dietitian credential with the Commission on Dietetic Registration required
* Licensed Dietitian in Texas required
* Two or more years of hospital clinical nutrition experience preferred
* Experience with nutrition support preferred
* Perform timely nutrition screenings and assessments in accordance with established policy
* Conduct nutrition-focused physical exams on patients at nutritional risk
* Identify patients at nutritional risk based on established criteria
* Evaluate age-specific, developmental, and disease-specific nutritional needs of patients
* Develop and implement individualized nutritional plans of care
* Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness and outcomes of medical nutrition therapy interventions
* Identify patient nutrition education needs and provide counseling to patients, family, and caregivers
* Participate in competency assessment process and achieve a passing score of 80% or higher on RD chart audits
* Adhere to nutrition care guidelines, the nutrition care manual, and department and facility protocols
* Integrate the Academy Code of Ethics in all areas of practice
