Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Every other weekend requirement
* 2 major holidays required
* Self-scheduling primarily
* First to float when on every other weekend
* Patient ratios: NICU 1:1 to 1:3, PICU 1:1 to 1:2, Pediatrics 1:1 to 1:4
* Unit operates a Level 3 NICU with 21 beds, 8 Pediatric beds, and 4 PICU beds (future state)
* Charting system: Cerner EMR
* Scrub color: Navy
* Phillips telemetry monitoring - not required to read telemetry
* Experience with ventilators required including oscillators, Draeger, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula
* Must be comfortable with high frequency oscillators and vents
* Common patient diagnoses include 23 weeks and above, cooling (experience preferred), and feeders/growers
* No ECMO - Level 3 or above experience required
* Float to Nursery and Pediatrics; Mother Baby float only if candidate has that experience
* Respiratory therapy available 24/7
* Pharmacy available 24/7
* No IV team or nurse aides on unit
* On-call may be required for low census standby situations
* Floor-specific orientation: NICU (2-3 shifts), Pediatrics (2 shifts)
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Previous travel experience not required
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
* PALS and STABLE certifications preferred
