Opportunity:

RN - L&D/PP - Perinatal

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* No on-call requirement
* One major and two minor holidays required
* First to float policy in effect
* Float between Labor & Delivery, antepartum, and postpartum units
* 3-shift floor-specific orientation provided
* Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
* Experience with high-risk deliveries required, including familiarity with pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and insulin drips
* C-section experience required with circulating; scrubbing preferred
* Travel experience preferred
* Must be familiar with Fetal Link FHM system and Cerner EMR
* Follow AWHONN nurse-to-patient ratio guidelines
* Work with a team including 2 OB attendings and 1 Neonatologist available 24 hours, as well as 2 OB techs per shift
* Care for patients 20 weeks and above including high-risk cases such as hypertension, multiple gestations, diabetes, and substance abuse
* Scrubs provided and must be sterile
* Acrylic or overlay nails are not permitted during assignment
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS, and Advanced AWHONN Fetal Monitoring

Facility:

This acute care facility is one of the 13th largest birth centers in California, offering a robust Labor & Delivery unit with 12 L&D beds, 10 triage beds, and 12 antepartum beds, supporting approximately 200 births per month. The facility provides comprehensive perinatal care with round-the-clock support from OB attendings, a neonatologist, respiratory therapy from the NICU, and 24/7 pharmacy services. OB technicians are scheduled each shift to assist with deliveries and scrub in for cesarean sections, ensuring a well-supported care environment.
