Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Work with patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics
* Care for general ED patients including trauma, stroke, STEMI, and behavioral health cases
* Patient ratio of 1:4 for RN (variable based on patient acuity) and 1:11 for tech
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
* Preferred certifications: TNCC, NRP
* Required skills include EKGs, IV starts, familiarity with TNKase administration, nebulizer treatments, initiating BiPAP, suture removal, assisting with casting, and vent management
* Charge nurse experience should be noted if applicable
* Charting system: FirstNet
* No floating required
* Orientation includes two days of hospital orientation and one day with a preceptor
* Weekend rotation: every other weekend
* No call required
* Holiday coverage as needed
* Scrub color: any color, professional (hospital scrubs available but not required)
* Free parking available on site
* On-site locker/changing room and gym available

Facility:

This 89-licensed-bed teaching facility features an 11-bed emergency department, including 3 trauma ED beds, 1 behavioral seclusion room, and 2 negative pressure rooms. The facility provides comprehensive support including an ED provider, mid-level provider, hospitalist coverage 24/7, house supervisor, receptionist, ED techs, critical care transport team assistance, and security on site 24/7. Respiratory therapy is available on day shift and can be called in for unstable patients as needed.
