Opportunity:

RN - PICU

Job Details:

* Work in a 24-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit serving ICU-level patients across all body systems including respiratory, neuro, GI, GU, plastics, burns, DKA, cardiac, ortho, and ENT
* Patient ratios are 2:1, with 1:1 for higher acuity patients and 3:1 for lower step-down acuity patients
* Day and night shifts available with 1 charge nurse, 5-6 RNs (dependent on census), and 1 unit coordinator per shift
* Every other weekend requirement
* Must have experience with intubated/ventilated patients
* Must have ICU level of care experience
* ECMO experience (patient care, not pump management) preferred
* CRRT experience preferred
* Work with equipment including ventilators, drips, chest tubes, central lines, syringe pumps, trachs, and gastrostomy tubes
* EMR system: Meditech
* Typical procedures include central line and chest tube placement, sedation, lumbar punctures, and intubation
* Float to all children's units and NICU including PIMC, PSRG, Pedi Hemonc, ER for inpatient holds, and PCICU
* Required certification: PALS
* Dress code: Navy blue scrubs, no t-shirts allowed
* Ideal candidate is flexible, communicates well with the medical team, and maintains a friendly and positive attitude
