Opportunity:

Neuro EXP Tele RN

Job Details:

* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Patient ratio of 1:5
* Float between units to meet unit needs as required
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* 36 orientation hours required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Neurology RN experience required; must be comfortable with the NIH scale and proficient in caring for post-surgical neurology patients and varied neurology diagnoses
* Epic charting system experience required
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills: BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), craniotomy, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, neuro stepdown, pre/post neurosurgery, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, spinal cord injury, telemetry, and traumatic brain injury
* Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Scrub color: any color for RNs
* No parking fee
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal

This facility is a Short Term Acute Care hospital, Level II Trauma Center, and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 629 total staffed beds. It operates as a teaching hospital and features a designated stroke unit with Thrombectomy Capable JCAHO designation, a Spine Center of Excellence with JCAHO designation, and a NAEC Level 3 Epilepsy Center. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretarial support.
