Open Position: RN - Med Surg

Opportunity:

RN - Ortho/Trauma

Job Details:

* 48 hours guaranteed per week
* Schedule requires three 12-hour shifts per week
* Three weekend shifts required per schedule period
* Work on a 23-bed Orthopedic/Trauma unit with a patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:5
* Unit support includes Unit Secretaries and Patient Care Technicians
* Care for post-operative knee, hip, and shoulder replacement patients as well as trauma patients and some neurology overflow
* Perform bedside shift reports and hourly rounding as part of patient experience requirements
* Utilize equipment including traction, fixators, and cooling equipment
* Document using Meditech system
* Telemetry and NIH stroke scale experience preferred
* Ortho experience required
* Contract labor is first to float to other Med/Surg level of care units including General Med/Surg, Nephrology, and Neuro/Trauma
* Required certifications: BLS
* Active RN license required
* Navy scrubs required
