Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

* Work every third weekend
* No on-call responsibilities
* 30-bed unit serving med surg post-op and spine patients
* Day shift nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 and night shift ratio of 1:6
* Required to float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran
* Experience with heparin drips required
* Scrubs: Navy blue solids required
* Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays unless unit is closed
* 24 months of med surg/medical surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
* Strong heparin experience required
* Post-operative/surgical experience required
* Spine care experience required
* EPIC EMR experience required
* Minimum 3 months of current travel experience within the previous 12 months required (no first-time travelers)
* Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
* Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
