Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend requirement with 6 shifts covering Friday evening through Monday morning at 7:00 AM
* 3 holiday shifts required, including the eve or day of the holiday
* No on-call or standby requirement, but may be called off on a 4-hour basis if scheduled
* Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on patient acuity
* Care for complex ICU patients including cardiac, respiratory failure, and post open heart surgery patients
* Manage complex patients on multiple vasopressors, balloon pumps, Impella devices, and CRRT
* Titrate drips including Levophed, Epinephrine, Vasopressin, Cardene, Primacor, and Heparin
* Perform basic management of respiratory equipment including ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow devices alongside RT support
* Read and interpret telemetry strips independently using GE monitoring equipment
* Charge nurse available each shift and may take patient assignments when needed
* Intensivist available 24/7 and respiratory therapy support available 24/7
* Self-scheduling allowed with staffing center balancing schedule for unit needs
* Floating to all other inpatient areas may be required
* Scrub color requirement: Galaxy blue or black pants
* Charting system: EPIC
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA)
* 22-bed Cardiovascular Thoracic ICU unit
