Opportunity:

RN - Oncology

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend requirement
* Float position covering Oncology, MedSurg, and Telemetry units
* First to float when census requires
* Patient ratio of 1:5
* 30-bed Oncology unit with float to MedSurg/Tele (4C)
* Must be comfortable working with cancer diagnosed patients
* Telemetry skills required despite unit not being a tele unit
* Charge nurse and nurse aides available on unit
* Charting system: Cerner
* Common diagnoses include cancer-related conditions and general MedSurg/Tele overflow
* Scrub color: Navy blue
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
* Oncology certification preferred but not required
* BSN not required
* 2 supervisory references from submitting modality required at submittal (1 within 12 months and 1 within 3 years)
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Travelers will be expected to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)

This acute care facility operates at a Level 2 Trauma designation and provides comprehensive inpatient services across multiple units including Oncology, MedSurg, and Telemetry. The facility maintains 24/7 support services including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and an IV team, along with in-house hospitalist and intensivist coverage. The organization is equipped with modern charting technology and supports a collaborative care environment with charge nurses and nurse aides available on the unit.
