Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

* Variable day shifts available in 7, 8, 9, or 11-hour increments
* Weekend coverage required
* On-call shifts may be required 1-2 days per week from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM; weekend call hours are 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Float required between pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery areas
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Minimum 1 year of PACU or relevant nursing experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
* Epic charting system experience required
* Care for patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Daily census of approximately 15 patients
* Perform and assist with procedures including Phase I and Phase II recovery, pre-op assessment and education, conscious sedation monitoring, arterial line management, chest tube management, and ventilated patient care
* Support procedures across specialties including orthopedics, neurology/spine, urology, plastics, ophthalmology, gynecology, and general surgery (all except cardiac procedures)
* GI procedures are staffed by the pre-op/PACU team
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* 2 professional references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
