Open Position: RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

RN - Cath Lab & IR

Job Details:

* Work 4 10-hour day shifts per week, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
* Call coverage responsibility approximately 10 shifts per month, including rotating weekends and holidays
* Call hours Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekend call coverage Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
* Holidays covered by call 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
* Rotate between Cath Lab and pre/post positions
* Work as part of a 3-person team consisting of 2 RNs and 1 tech
* Average 4-5 cases per day, ranging from 2 to 9 cases
* Perform cardiac adult cases including peripheral, cardiac cath, PCI, and devices (no EP, no ablations)
* Work with EPIC/Cupid charting system and Xper dynamics equipment
* Utilize Phillips telemetry system hardwired at the bedside
* Work with Omnicell pharmacy system; mix certain medications in the lab
* May float to Non-Invasive CV at times to start IVs
* Familiarity with ACIST injector, IABP, and IVUS required
* Scrubs are provided; RNs wear Navy Blue
* Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
* BSN not required
* Valid driver's license with address outside 50 miles from the facility required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology unit with 7 suites including 2 catheterization labs, 2 bays, and 5 rooms with holding areas. The unit is supported by 24/7 cardiology on-call coverage and a dedicated pharmacy system. The facility maintains a structured team approach to patient care with resource nurses overseeing daily workflow and assignments, and provides a comprehensive orientation program including preceptor shifts and buddy call experience.
