Opportunity:

RN - Clinical Decision Unit / Med-Surg Telemetry

Job Details:

* 13-week travel assignment
* Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* 3x12-hour or 48-hour night shifts available
* 36 hours guaranteed per week
* Every other weekend required
* Float to Med-Surg may be required (1:6 ratio)
* Patient ratio of 1:6 on nights and weekends
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* WV or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted for submission
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (must be through American Heart Association)
* Charting system: Cerner
* Experience required with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, stroke/CVA care, IV starts, blood product administration, oxygen therapy, IV insulin protocols, wound care, and rapid response/code situations
* Patient population includes cardiac, CHF, COPD, stroke, chest pain, postoperative orthopedic, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and EENT patients
* Patient age groups include adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* 75-mile radius restriction; no local candidates
* Orientation held every other Monday

This community hospital operates an 11-bed Clinical Decision Unit and Med-Surg Telemetry unit, providing comprehensive inpatient care across a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. The facility supports a diverse patient population spanning all age groups and offers specialized care including cardiac telemetry monitoring, stroke care, and postoperative surgical management. The unit maintains a consistent 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio and fosters an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
