Job Details:

* Shift times vary and will be called out in job posting, with options including days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM), mid shifts (10:00 AM - 10:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM, 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM), and nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
* Every other weekend rotation required
* No on-call responsibilities
* 1 holiday per contract expected
* Patient ratio of 1:4, with pods set up for 8 patients between 3 nurses
* Patient population includes geriatric, abdominal pain, chest pain, stroke, psych, respiratory, and approximately 15% pediatric cases
* Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required skills include TNK, conscious sedation, chest tubes, and central lines
* EPIC EMR experience required
* Equipment used includes Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI or MOAB, and NIHSS
* Scrub color: Any color, professional dress required
* Free parking available
* No floating required

Facility:

This is a 123-bed community hospital operating as a Level 3 Trauma Center. The emergency department features 21 beds, 8 hallway beds, 5 fast track beds, and 4-12 outpatient overflow beds serving as a secondary fast track. The facility provides robust support including 24/7 charge nurses, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, and receptionist/HUC coverage. Additional support resources include ED techs with phlebotomy certification, a vascular access team available Monday through Friday, telemetry monitoring at bedside and at the nurse's station, and critical care float staff available as needed.
