Opportunity:

Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Details:

* Shift hours are 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday or five 8-hour days, with some variation dependent upon the number of scheduled patients
* No on-call or weekend shifts required
* This is a lead position requiring the ability to work independently and alone
* Must be proficient in operating GE Infinia Hawkeye cameras and capable of performing cardiac studies
* Facility primarily performs Nuclear Medicine studies and uses Nuc Trac through Cardinal Health for dose tracking
* Must have experience with GE operating systems
* Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Patient ratio is 2 patients per day shift
* Daily census of 35 with approximately 10 visits per day
* Procedures and skills include bone scans, brain scans, HIDA scans, MUGA scans, nuclear cardiology, pharmacological stress testing, renal studies, gastric emptying, ventilation/perfusion, whole body imaging, sestamibi parathyroid scans, and more
* Must be able to start and maintain IVs, draw venous blood, and handle/store/dispose of radioactive materials
* Interdisciplinary support available from respiratory services, phlebotomy, and radiology
* Required certifications: CNMT (ARRT or NMTCB), BLS
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Travel experience preferred; local candidates accepted
* Community hospital experience preferred

This facility is a community-based healthcare organization with 142 beds and 74 rooms, providing a broad range of medical services. The nuclear medicine department primarily focuses on diagnostic imaging studies and utilizes advanced GE imaging technology. Interdisciplinary support from respiratory services, phlebotomy, and radiology is available to support patient care.
