Job Details:

* Travel experience required; first-time travelers will be screened as there will be times when this PT is the only therapist working that day
* At least 1 year of experience required
* Primarily work on MedSurg unit with expected floating to ICU, ED, and ASU as needed
* No on-call required
* Weekends required - at least 2 weekend days per pay period (every 2 weeks)
* No block schedules required; 48-hour shifts not approved
* Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
* Common patient diagnoses include failure to thrive, decreased cognitive status, post-falls, and total joint replacements
* Approximately 8 patient visits per day with a daily census of 30
* Total joint replacement patients are seen 1x/day including POD0 until discharge, with 1-2 days per week dedicated to total joint replacements
* Assistive devices used include front-wheeled walkers, 4-wheeled walkers, canes, and crutches
* Special equipment includes Sara Steady mechanical lift, ceiling hoyer lifts, and a mobile hoyer lift
* Charting system: Epic (experience preferred)
* Scrub color: Any color
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Oregon License
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
* Required skills include: Acute Care, Adaptive Devices, AROM/AAROM/PROM, Assessment, Assistive Devices, Bed Alarms, Body Mechanics, Gait Training, Geriatrics, Hip Fractures/Injuries, Home Exercise Program, Hoyer Lift, Patient/Family Education, Plan of Care, Post Stroke Rehabilitation, Total Hip Replacement, Total Knee Replacement, Vital Sign Monitoring, and more

Facility:

This short-term acute care teaching hospital operates with 59 total staff beds and a daily census of approximately 30 patients. The facility provides interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The therapy team typically consists of 1-2 PTs, 1-2 OTs, and 1 SLP on staff per day, offering a collaborative and well-supported work environment.
