Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* Night shift position in a 36-bed ICU with 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios
* Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available
* 6-9 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
* Holiday requirements apply
* Call or standby requirement determined by nurse manager
* Floating requirements determined by nurse manager; may float within Zone 1 if needed
* First to float when staffing needs arise
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
* Must be able to titrate drips including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, metabolic, and specialized drips
* Experience with NIHSS required
* Common patient diagnoses include abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injury, and extremity pain
* Work alongside hospitalist or intensivist in-house and respiratory therapy available 24/7
* RT equipment includes CPAP, BiPap, high flow, and ventilators
* Charting system: EPIC
* Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
* BSN not required
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Level 2 Trauma, Acute Care setting

Facility:

This facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center offering acute care services with a well-equipped 36-bed ICU. The unit is supported by in-house hospitalists and intensivists, as well as respiratory therapy available around the clock. The facility utilizes EPIC as its charting system and provides a collaborative care environment with self-scheduling flexibility to support staff work-life balance.
